He is a member of the French Academy of Technologies and a member of the executive board of the M\u00e9decins du Monde Foundation. Former Consultant to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, he served as Visiting Professor at Yale University, Under Secretary at the French Ministry of Health and Adviser to the Prime Minister.
