Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 Directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00e0 la Swedish International Agency for Development Cooperation (Sida). En 2002, alors qu&rsquo;il \u00e9tait Directeur ex\u00e9cutif par int\u00e9rim, il a fond\u00e9 Le Fonds mondial de lutte contre le sida, la tuberculose et le paludisme. Plus r\u00e9cemment, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 la t\u00eate du secretariat for the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response. Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 membre des conseils du Fonds mondial de luttle contre le sida, la tuberculose et le paludisme, de Gavi, de ONUSIDA et de PMNCH (Partnership for Maternal, Newborn &amp; Child Health).
