{"id":17112,"date":"2023-11-14T15:08:58","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T14:08:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worldpolicyconference.com\/?p=17112"},"modified":"2023-11-14T15:08:58","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T14:08:58","slug":"kazakhstan-outlines-its-vision-on-regional-and-global-issues-at-world-policy-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldpolicyconference.com\/fr\/kazakhstan-outlines-its-vision-on-regional-and-global-issues-at-world-policy-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Kazakhstan Outlines Its Vision on Regional and Global Issues at World Policy Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldpolicyconference.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/astana-times_logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.worldpolicyconference.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/astana-times_logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"289\" height=\"31\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>07.11.2023<\/p>\n<p>By Saniya Sakenova<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASTANA \u2013 At the 16th World Policy Conference held from Nov. 3-5 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vassilenko outlined Kazakhstan\u2019s approach to addressing regional and global challenges, reported the Kazakh Foreign Ministry\u2019s press service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conference, themed The International System between Globalization and Disintegration: Which Forces Will Prevail? brought together over 200 government representatives, leading think tanks, and international companies from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the session on Eurasian perspectives concerning evolving geopolitical configurations, Vassilenko reaffirmed Kazakhstan\u2019s commitment to the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter, emphasizing respect for territorial integrity, border inviolability, and state sovereignty, which are fundamental to resolving international conflicts and disputes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Kazakh diplomat also echoed President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev\u2019s calls for UN reform, stressing the need to increase the authority of the UN General Assembly as the most representative body, and expand UN Security Council membership to include states from various global regions, particularly middle powers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vassilenko expressed Kazakhstan\u2019s interest to expedite a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and establish an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the region.
