Il a mis fin \u00e0 son service diplomatique fin 2006 apr\u00e8s une longue carri\u00e8re qui l\u2019a men\u00e9 jusqu\u2019au poste d\u2019ambassadeur en France et \u00e0 l\u2019UNESCO. Il a \u00e9galement exerc\u00e9 la fonction d\u2019ambassadeur aux Nations Unies \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, au Maroc et \u00e9galement en Mauritanie. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral des Affaires \u00e9conomiques au minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res cor\u00e9en. Il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 nationale de S\u00e9oul et \u00e0 l\u2019Institut international d\u2019administration publique en France.
