Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre de la 40e l\u00e9gislature du Parlement bulgare (2005-2009). En 2007, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre du Parlement europ\u00e9en. De 2005 \u00e0 2006, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 observateur pour la Bulgarie au Parlement europ\u00e9en. Il a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 membre de la 36e l\u00e9gislature du Parlement bulgare (1991-1994). Il est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Sofia.
