Il est l\u2019auteur de huit ouvrages et a \u00e9t\u00e9 au centre de nombreuses conf\u00e9rences sur les relations Turquie-UE, la question Kurde, les relations turques et grecques \u00e0 Chypre. Il a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en 1964 au <em>Milliyet<\/em>, le principal journal turc. En 1985, il lance \u00ab\u00a032nd Day\u00a0\u00bb, programme connu pour son regard ind\u00e9pendant et lib\u00e9ral ; de nombreuses personnalit\u00e9s politiques y ont particip\u00e9.
