En 1980, devenu Directeur Financier du groupe Mors, une entreprise cot\u00e9e en difficult\u00e9, il prend part au redressement de cette soci\u00e9t\u00e9 puis \u00e0 un large programme d\u2019acquisitions. Il rejoint ensuite le groupe Suez au sein du d\u00e9partement Banque d\u2019Affaires d\u2019Indosuez, avant de devenir Directeur d\u2019Investissement d\u2019une filiale du groupe, la Compagnie d\u2019Investissement Astorg. Apr\u00e8s le redressement de la filiale allemande du groupe Sanara (groupe de transport cot\u00e9 en Bourse), il participe en 1988 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation du fonds France Capital D\u00e9veloppement, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans les prises de participations majoritaires et les op\u00e9rations de Build-up. En 1995, Emmanuel Harl\u00e9 a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la lev\u00e9e de fonds et aux premiers investissements de Morgan Grenfell et Associ\u00e9s.
