Over the next ten years, Rudd predicated that China is likely to have a \u00ab\u00a0Chinese Communist Party still strongly in power,\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0a strengthened Xi Jinping leadership.\u00a0\u00bb Rudd also estimated that China&rsquo;s economic transformation program would be \u00ab\u00a0sufficiently successful\u00a0\u00bb to \u00ab\u00a0grow the economy at something north of 5 percent.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The question he wonders about is \u00ab\u00a0the extent to which China will have turned the corner on the question of environmental sustainbility, air pollution, and climate change. The policies are beginning to be in place. I don&rsquo;t know how effective they are going to be,\u00a0\u00bb Rudd said.
