Wien. Die politische Krise zwischen der Türkei und Israel hat jetzt auch auf die in Wien stattfindende World Policy Conference » Auswirkungen gehabt. Der türkische Präsident Abdullah Gül hat seine Teilnahme an einem von Bundespräsident Heinz Fischer gegebenen Mittagessen kurzfristig ausfallen lassen, weil der israelische Verteidigungsminister Ehud Barak auch daran teilnahm.Wie ein Sprecher von Gül gegenüber der « Presse am Sonntag » bestätigte, wollte er auch auf keinem gemeinsamen Foto mit Barak sein. Gül unternahm stattdessen einen Spaziergang und besuchte eine Moschee.
