World leaders discuss economic forecast and regional crises at the World Policy Conference

Italian premier Mario Monti defended his reforms at the World Policy Conference in Cannes yesterday. An unelected government of technocrats, led by widely respected economist Monti, was appointed in Italy to replace Silvio Berlusconi. Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara, who also attended the conference, commented on his push for a military intervention in northern Mali.
