Dominique Senequier

President and Founder of Ardian, a world leader in private investment, Dominique Senequier is a pioneer in the private equity industry. She founded the firm in 1996 within the AXA Group before leading its independence in 2013, making Ardian a company majority-owned by its employees. Under her leadership, the firm has become a major global player, managing assets across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. A strong advocate for finance as a force for the common good, she introduced a groundbreaking profit-sharing model in 2008, redistributing a portion of capital gains to all employees across its portfolio companies. Her vision, “Architects of Lasting Change,” integrates sustainability into the core of economic performance. She also established the Ardian Foundation to foster social mobility. Promoted to Officer of the Legion of Honor in 2021, she was elected to the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques in 2023 A member of the French Actuarial Institute, she was part of École Polytechnique’s first mixed-gender class in 1972 and holds a postgraduate degree in economics from Paris-Sorbonne University.
