Professor of medicine and biologist, he is Co-holder of the AXA-Paris Descartes Chair in “A systems approach to individual differences in longevity”. A former researcher at the National Institute for Medical Research, in 1993 he became professor of biological gerontology at the University of Manchester. He has served as Advisor to the British Parliament and European President (Biology) of the International Association of Gerontology. He graduated from Oxford and Cambridge in the fields of biology and mathematics.

Sir Masood Ahmed
President of the Center for Global Development since January 2017. He enjoys a 35-year career driving economic development policy initiatives relating to debt, aid effectiveness, trade, and global economic prospects at major international institutions including the IMF, the World Bank, and the DFID. He served for eight years as Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, earning praise from Managing Director Christine Lagarde as a “visionary leader.” In previous years, he also served as the IMF’s director of External Relations, and Deputy Director of the Policy Development and Review Department. From 2003-2006, Ahmed served as Director General, Policy and International at the UK government’s Department for International Development (DFID). Ahmed also worked at the World Bank from 1979-2000 in various managerial and economist positions, rising to become Vice President of Poverty Reduction and Economic Management. In January 2023, he received a knighthood (KCMG) from the UK government for his services to international development.

Didier Reynders
Commissioner for Justice in charge of Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, European Commission. A father of four, Didier Reynders was born in Liège on 6th August 1958. In 1981, he obtained a degree in law at the University of Liège. Guest lecturer at the universities of Liège and Louvain, he has never really left the academic life until he became on 1st December 2019 European Commissioner for Justice. After presiding over the Belgian railways and the Belgian Airways Agency, he was elected Deputy Chairman of the PRL (Liberal party), before becoming a Member of Parliament in 1992 (until 2019). On 12th July 1999, he became Minister of Finance (until 6th December 2011) and, on 18th July 2004, (concurrently) Deputy Prime Minister (until 30th November 2019). He was Chairman of the Mouvement Réformateur (liberal party alliance) from 11th October 2004 until 14th February 2011. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs from 6th December 2011 until 11th October 2014. He became Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, in charge of Beliris and Federal Cultural Institutions on 1st October 2014 (until 30th November 2019). He also became Minister of Defense on 9th December 2018 (until 30th November 2019). Since 1st December 2019 he is European Commissioner for Justice, in charge of Rule of Law and Consumer Protection.
Michel Robitaille
Québec’s Delegate General in Paris since 2010. He is also the Premier’s official representative to the International Francophone Organization (OIF). Prior to taking up his duties in Paris, he was appointed the first CEO of the Francophone Centre of the Americas (CFA) by the Government of Québec in 2008. He also served as Québec’s Delegate General in New York (2002-2007). He has held various positions within Québec’s international diplomatic network, among others in Brussels as Director of Public Affairs, Cooperation and Culture.
